Day 1                Sandakan / Sepilok / Sukau (Lunch/Dinner)

On arrival at the Sandakan airport, proceed to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Trek ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden plank walks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 10am. After that, continue to Sandakan jetty for an estimated 2½ hours boat journey to the Lodge along Sabah’s longest river, Kinabatangan with opportunity to view birds and wildlifes in virgin mangrove, wetland and rainforest habitats. En-route, lunch at Abai Jungle Lounge late afternoon take a river cruise in search of some of the 10 primate species including Proboscis monkeys as they settle down on treetops along the Kinabatangan River. Return for hot shower; dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 2                    Sukau / Sandakan (Breakfast/Lunch)

After breakfast, cruise down by boat back to Sandakan. Upon arrival at jetty, drive uphill to Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple for a panoramic view of Sandakan City. Lunch, and then proceed to airport or back to hotel in Sandakan.

Note : The jungle or river lodge is simple accommodation ( twin / triple share ) with wash room facility.

Suggested things to bring :    Light clothing, long pants, trekking shoes, raincoat, personal toiletries, towel, light jacket, insect repellent & torch.
