Mt Kinabalu Summit 2

Day 1        Kota Kinabalu / Kinabalu Park / Laban Rata (Box Lunch/Dinner)

Early morning pick up from Kota Kinabalu city hotel & depart for Kinabalu Park. Drive will take about 2 hours through the Crocker Range. Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park, register at Park headquarter. Then together with Mt. Guide, transfer to Timpohon Gate, the starting point to Mt Kinabalu. Start trekking up the mountain. Trekking will take about 6-7 hours. Upon reaching 11,000 ft, check into mountain resthouse. Overnight at Laban Rata. (subject to availability)

Day 2    Laban Rata / Kinabalu Park / Poring Hot Spring / Kota Kinabalu (Breakfast/Lunch)

Early rise at about 0200hr in the morning & start trek up to the summit. Trekking will take about 3-4 hours. Witness the glorious sunrise over the majestic Mt Kinabalu if weather permits. Descend to Laban Rata & check out. Trek down to the Timpohon Gate. Transfer back to Park headquarter to collect Certificate of Achievement.

After lunch, depart for Poring Hot Spring. Upon arrival, take a dip in the hot spring pool *(optional charge)* which most people believed to possess medicinal effect. Option to trek to the Poring Canopy Walkway (if time permits) to experience life & sight from above tree tops.

Late afternoon depart back to Kota Kinabalu.

Package includes :

1)    Transportation.
2)    English Speaking Guide. (No Overnight) (No Climbing).
3)    Mt. Guide for climbing mountain only.
4)    Meals as stated.
5)    1 night stay at mountain resthouse. (share basis)
6)    Permit, insurance & certificate for climbing mountain only.

Note :    Mountain Hut accommodation at Laban Rata is with heating and on bunk-bed sharing basis, Whereas at other hunts will be without heater (Advisable to bring your own sleeping bag or hire at the mountain resthouse at own cost.)

Suggested things to bring :    Warm clothing, long pants, trekking shoes, personal toiletries, raincoat, towel, torch,  plastic bag ( for keeping garbage or keeping clothes dry ), hand gloves, & insect repellent.
